Hi, Y'all!
I've been away for a few weeks (my messages and deviations really piled up!) and, since it was a rather abrupt absence, I though I owed everyone an explanation. I got a job! Well, actually three -- all of them part-time. Before I retired from the Air Force last July, I started looking for jobs to stay busy, but heard nothing for months. (Actually, I'm still not hearing back.) So, last fall I decided to try for part-time work to hold me over while I kept looking. I still heard nothing (even with the Christmas shopping season...go figure!). Then, in January, I put in an application with the local minor league baseball team, knowing they'd need summer help, and applications with two stores who were about to move to larger locations. I still wasn't sure anything would happen, but all three hired me. Now I'm trying to juggle three part-time jobs, a search for a full-time job, plus all the other parts of day-to-day life. It's busy, but I'm working at places I enjoy (good people to work for and with -- a nice change), so it's a great situation. I'm still taking pictures, so I'll upload some in the next several days.
